Comprehensive modernization of the training base at the Naval Training Center in Ustka

The modernization of the training base of the Naval Training Center in Ustka took place in 2019-2020. The subject of the contract was the modification of the training base in the field of simulators and trainers of command and communication systems, along with the project of adapting the then training infrastructure to the newly installed training simulators. A design of Naval Training Center elements was made in the above-mentioned scope, which was agreed with the User and the appropriate Gestor.

The project included the modification of the following elements:

  • network infrastructure that is an element of the trainers and simulators system;
  • supply of simulator and trainer applications with installation;
  • supply and replacement of network equipment and adaptation of training applications to installation on new equipment.

Provided training simulators:

  1. R-3501 radio simulator
  2. RKP 8100 radio simulator
  3. Trainer of visual signaling and semaphore
  4. Training device of the satellite communication system

The delivered Naval Training Center simulators include:

  • 51 training stations with a workstation;
  • 5 instructor stations with a workstation;
  • 5 multimedia projectors;
  • 5 IP cameras;
  • 1 computer supervision station;
  • 1 server of the training device of the satellite communication system.

Another element of the modification of the Naval Traning Center in Ustka was the integration of the data server room and modification of network elements for the needs of command and communication system simulators. The integration of the data server room allowed for embedding the software of simulators and trainers of communication and command systems in one integrated data server room. Thus, the teleinformation network was expanded, and a data server room was also adapted, which required comprehensive construction and installation works.

Comprehensive installation works carried out included:

  • construction of a switchboard for supplying loads in the repository room with the planned arrangement for connecting the UPS;
  • delivery and installation of an additional 20 KVA UPS;
  • delivery of 4 distribution cabinets with lighting installation, air conditioning, plug-in sockets;
  • installation of plug-in sockets;
  • lighting installation;
  • execution of the air exchange and air conditioning system in the room;
  • execution of fire protection measures (gas extinguishing system);
  • implementation of a monitoring system;
  • implementation of an access control system;
  • execution of a burglary and assault signaling system;
  • installation of 3 RACK 19 “37U cabinets with a power supply system, min. 27 230V sockets in each of the cabinets.

Within the scope of the project, 4 training servers were installed in the data repository room. The following equipment was delivered and installed for the needs of simulators of command and communication systems:

  • 4 pieces of servers
  • 4 pieces of 1Gbit managed switch;
  • 32 pieces. – SC MM fiber optic insert;
  • 3 pieces of 4Mpx IP cameras – monitoring system for the server room
    and front door;
  • fire protection center – fire protection security system;
  • alarm control panel – access control system

A very important element of the correct operation of the training base in order to maintain the continuity of training was the integration of the emergency power supply system, which included the following devices:

  • 1 piece. – power generator, automatic with a capacity of 250 KVA;
  • 1 piece. – power generator, automatic with a capacity of 80KVA;
  • 1 piece. – an uninterruptible power supply “UPS” with a capacity of 20KVA.
