Radio direction finding
Radio direction finding
The radio direction finding simulator enables hands-on training for operators of devices used to detect and locate sources of radio-electronic radiation. The simulator allows for exercises to be conducted without the emission of electromagnetic waves, fully reflecting the operation of real systems.
The system supports the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of:
The system supports the acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of:
- operating radio receivers and conducting listening sessions,
- processing information about radio emissions,
- conducting radio correspondence in accordance with the regulations,
- recognition of electromagnetic interference and its impact on system operation,
- simulation of operations in an electronic warfare environment (WRE).
Main functions of the simulator:
- Simulation of the operation of a radio receiver with the possibility of listening to the signal source
- Ability to hear of auditory interference in the audio path (intentional interference, passive interference, radio background)
- Displaying signals and interference on the user interface
- Possibility for the instructor to introduce disruptions regardless of the current situation
- Training without RF emissions - localization of the radiation source based on parameters transmitted from the instructor's station
- Simulation of signal transmission with different emission types (A1A, F1B, J3E)
- Dynamic generation of environmental conditions (weak signal, presence of multiple sources, no data transmission)
- Tracking may be difficult due to variable quality of the radio background
