Ship stability
Ship stability simulator
Vessels Stability SIM is a simulator designed for training in the fundamentals of buoyancy, watertight integrity, and hull construction of a floating vessel. The module is used to visualize the impact of mass distribution, compartment flooding, and external factors on the stability and behavior of a ship in marine conditions.
Component elements:
Component elements:
- Ship hull model with realistic subdivision into watertight compartments.
- Training pool with a tethering system for model stabilization.
- Capability for simulated flooding of selected compartments.
- Ship hull construction and design
- Concepts of buoyancy, displacement, center of gravity, and metacenter.
- Longitudinal and transverse stability of a vessel
- Principles of hull subdivision into watertight compartments.
- Analysis of emergency scenarios (flooding, listing, sinking)
- Vessel response to changing conditions (cargo shift, asymmetric flooding)
- Simulation of model response depending on:
- Flooding of individual compartments.
- Shifting of mass within the vessel
- Action of external forces (tethers, gravity).
- Possibility of creating emergency scenarios and their course.
- Presentation of effects in the form of realistic 3D animation.
- Possibility of conducting theoretical and practical classes combined with observation of a physical model.
